Born in Taluyers (France) in 1988, Juliette Louste studies mainly in the region of Lyon and, from 2007, in Barcelona. In 2013 she receives the diploma from the Conservatori Superior de Dansa in l'Institut del Teatre de Barcelona, in the Choreographic department, with a honourable mention and the congratulations from the jury.
Since 2004, she has taken part in different projects as a dancer and/or choreographer.
Moving around different festivals in and out of France, she works with eminent characters of the dance world such as Carolyn Carlson, Israël Galván, Akram Khan, Dada Masilo, with whom she is respectively artistic director for the video edition, producer or choreographic assistance.
In 2009, she joins the company PerkimBa directed by Neus Fernández and Thierry Höchstatter in Barcelona and Genève.
Since 2009, she explores the relation between jazz music and contemporary dance in punctual projects together with Toni Vaquer such as 365 themes and 52 variations, base of the duo Games, and later on the Doble Quartet. From 2012 she collaborates regularly with David Mengual in the center of the Free Spirit Big Band of Sant Cugat.
She works as a choreographer for different directors.
She created her own projects It’s the same old dream… (2012), Monk’ments and Réalités parallèles (2013), which crystallises at the heart of the Juliette Louste Company in 2013.
Since 2016, she is the Technical Director of the theatre Tjarnarbíó in Reykjavík.
Passionate of voyages, they are for her the occasion of danced meetings, video and photographic works, artistic exchanges, and inspiration sources in diverse cultural contexts.
