    ...retour et détour par Reykjavík, and the marvellous sunny light of the iced land...

    I was expecting that to happen but Iceland ask me to come back… and of course, working again with Valdimar Jóhansson, and with all the crew of the Reykjavík Dance Festival and artists related, was a pretty good excuse to come back to this wonderful and totally crazy land!

    So that’s it! Propulsed again for new dance adventure… and punky moments! (beginning to wonder if they know (or want?!) to do in another way!) And making the “mistake” to say yes to everything (let’s say every dance thing after crowing up…), there I am involved on the week creation-preparation of the event of the RDF in collaboration with a polish compagnie for the Menningarnótt. One week in Iđnó… this dreamland (or should I say “ghostland”) theatre in company of a fantastic polish crew (of course, nothing of that was a “mistake”! I actually have the wonderful feeling that it’s only the beginning of some longer collaboration with some of those people…). After (or in the middle of) this Menningarnótt-dagur and this Folk adventure (do you agree?!), there comes the RDF’14… with another Valdi’s crazy installation. Following the last year the Black Yoga Screaming Box, there we pass our night setting up the Black Screaming Spa in Kling & Bang. And our day setting the different shows (literally all so different!) in between Kassinn, Listasafn, Mengi and Tjarnarbíó.

    From my part, it seems that after one year, I’m flying by my own wings… and that’s really gratifiant to see how those people have already a total confidence in my technician work (I have to say that I have one of the (the?!) best mentor ever on the island!). It’s really weird (and honorific!) to see how so many people now know me over here… one year later, they remember me, or have heard about me… (why?! how?!…?!?!) Any way, so good to be received like that, to could be part of this fantastic dance adventure, and even more to be part of the few ones who make that possible and real, and to meet so many important artistic people of this always surprising island… This wonderful Iced-land… that become even more amazing when the sun suddenly shines for more than 10 minutes in a raw… Seems that I have some crazy opportunity and propositions over here… and seems that I have to come back for the RDF November’14 edition… Let see what will happen from here!
